‘From awareness to action: how schools are adapting to the climate challenge’

2026 brings a special, national edition of Eingana because this November, the 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31) will bring countries together in Türkiye to negotiate solutions and track progress against shared goals.

Australia will serve as President of Negotiations, leading the formal talks and agenda setting, following its co-hosting of pre-COP events in Fiji alongside Pacific nations.

It is a unique moment of responsibility for our country, and a rare chance for Australian students to see themselves as part of a crucial global conversation. That's why, for the first time, we've gathered stories from schools and organisations from across Australia and the Pacific - real examples of communities adapting to the climate challenge, and of young people already playing their part.
