Teachers environment network (ten)

Teachers Environment Networks (TENs) are a great way to learn about what is happening in your local area.

EEV collaborates with Hobson’s Bay City Council to deliver TEN meetings every term to teachers working in the local government area. These meetings are open to early childhood, primary and secondary educators, teachers and staff.

At these meetings, you get to meet others who are working on sustainability and environment initiatives. You also get to know your local Council officers, and participate in fun and informative workshops designed specifically for early learning and school settings.

Sign up to our TEN mailing list to stay up to date with upcoming events.

If you are outside the Hobson’s Bay area, please contact your local council to find out how you can join your local TEN.

Notes from one of our previous Teacher Environment Network meetings - Term 2, 2023

Rachel Forgasz and Andrew Webster saw us trekking to the beautiful Cherry Lake to hear from Andrew about the practicalities of organising and preparing for planting days, and from Rachel about how to use ritual to keep up watering, engagement, and interest from the student population.

Some ideas we covered were watering meditations, future visioning & incorporating that into the mulch for the plants + many more fun activities for kids.

Get in touch with Rachel or EEV if you want to know more.

There are also lots more helpful resources on our More Trees page.
