ResourceSmart Schools (RSS) Program is free and offered to all Victorian primary and secondary schools

  • The program operates as a framework for schools to embed sustainability into everything they do, on campus, in curriculum and outward in the broader community.

  • As schools move through modules about water, waste, biodiversity and energy, schools save money on utility bills, take action on climate change and build resilience in their communities.

  • RSS has received both national and international acclaim and is currently being piloted in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

    We can also talk you through it over Zoom. To book, email us and you’ll receive a Calendy link from your Facilitator, so you can set up a meeting at a time that suits you.

  • One of our Education Officers will connect with you and get to know you and your school so they can help you on your journey with the program. They can visit your school, assist with audits and connect you with resources.

    We’ll also invite you to our FREE termly Progress Workshops - a great place to learn and meet other teachers on the same journey.

  • Join our private Facebook group, where you can ask questions anytime and share your successes with other local schools.

  • Find out everything that’s going on in the Environmental Education space and keep up to date with local events and opportunities. Our e-Newsletter will hit your inbox at the beginning of every month during term.

  • This Sustainability Victoria video tutorial will show you how to input data from your bills.

  • This MOU for new schools outlines the support that EEV provides, and allows you to choose the support that suits your school. Select the support and the commitments you’d like to make and have your Principal or delegate sign the MOU. They upload it to RSS Online under the Core Module - Action A1.1

  • If you haven’t already, register for the new online system. It’s where you’ll record your progress and it will give you reports to help you communicate your progress to your leadership team and school community. This one page guide will get you started.
