Living Sustainably (Year 3-6 Geography) Teacher PD Session

Discover how to teach Geography by integrating Aboriginal perspectives and concepts of sustainability.

This professional development has been designed for Year 3-6 teachers who want to include real-world content in their Geography lessons.

During this one-day workshop, you will:
Learn how to include Aboriginal perspectives about sustainability in Year 3-4 Geography
Experience activities that investigate the importance of environments to people and animals
Explore Healesville Sanctuary and learn real-life Geography skills
Talk with Zoo Teachers and other classroom teachers

You will grow your knowledge, teaching skills and confidence:
Gain ideas for sparking student interest and curiosity
Learn up-to-date information and real-world examples
Discover real ways to consolidate student learning
Access lesson plans and resources that you can use right away

Recognition: certificate for 5 hours of PD
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: 3.2, 2.4, 6.2
