There’s nothing quite like springtime for an Alpine Adventure with like-minded folk to re-charge the batteries and connect with one of our spectacular Victorian landscapes. Join Anthony Mangelsdorf and EEV for a weekend in the high-country .
This weekend is a chance to do as much or as little as you like. Anthony will lead us in some outdoor adventures that will immerse us in the Alpine habitat. Activities such as building an igloo, heading out for a snowshoe or cross-country ski. He will also share some amazing information in two evening talks.
Or, you might prefer to enjoy a more sedate wander around Lake Bogong, explore Mt Beauty or just lounge about with a good book. Some of you may even prefer the adrenaline of downhill skiing.
Of an evening, join the EEV community in meals, informal sharing of passion for, and knowledge and stories about, our amazing Alpine habitat as well as the current conservation challenges. Might even be an opportunity for a bit of a jam session and sing-along.
This weekend is a chance to get inspired, energised and connected to the Alps and our community. It’s also the perfect opportunity to bring along family and friends.
Anthony Mangelsdorf has a lifelong passion for the alpine environment and living sustainably on the planet. His skills and experience as an outdoor environmental educator will help us to remember that we too are part of nature.
EEV will be in touch to confirm your interests and to let you know what to expect. The Alpine environment has particular delights and challenges and we want to make sure you can make the most of your time in the high-country.
- 2 nights accommodation in twin-share room (bunk beds) at Bogong Outdoor School.
- All activities with Anthony Mangelsdorf and evening talks.
- Continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday as well as tea/coffee/hot chocolate.
Participants will need to bring their own bedding and snow clothing/equipment.
EEV will facilitate car-pooling where possible and also coordinate 3 shared meals (2 dinners and a big breakfast). Each participant will be asked to contribute to one meal only and bring whatever alcohol/other drinks they’d like. Sharing meals means we can see the costs down.
