Mount Macedon Meander – Dusk Sounds

Explore dusk in the forest, on the fringe of Melbourne

Back by popular demand!

Join EEV on a guided walk on Mount Macedon with local expert Greg Boldiston.

This spring, we will be exploring the Mount in the afternoon, ending as the light fades at the Camel’s Hump, where we will watch the sun set, listen and discuss the sounds of the forest at dusk. What birds can we hear? Does the breeze fall at dusk? How does the forest change as the light fades?

Our popular autumn walk on the Mountain showed a keen group the cool climate rainforest, historic reservoirs and ancient trees.

Learn about links to history, conservation, exploration, forest ecology and the flora and fauna of the area! Greg has been rambling the Mount since he was a teenager, with a particular interest in photography, botany and mycology.
