EEV’s Vision for Victoria: Active, aware and sustainable communities
EEV’s Purpose: To provide environmental and sustainability educators with a professional association that connects people and organisations to develop capacity for enriched, sustainable lives
Strategically aligned with our vision and purpose, the Victorian Environmental Educator of the Year Award acknowledges individuals from amongst our membership base who have made an exemplary contribution to the field of environmental and sustainability education within Victoria for the previous calendar year.
The award aims to build recognition of the sector, demonstrate leadership and develop capacity among professional environmental educators as well as celebrate and acknowledge the breadth and commitment to sustainability in all educational settings.
An overall winner will be announced as well as up to two specific sector awards (where relevant), to acknowledge the breadth of environmental education contexts in Victoria.
- Formal education settings: Primary and Secondary Schools, Tertiary and Early Childhood facilities
- Informal education settings: Local/State Government or Not-for-profit sustainability officers and other community-based practitioners.
